General Details / Operating Condition:

Commencing 0001hrs on Sunday 15th October 2023, ARTC will bring into use on the ARTC Victorian Network, amendments to the TA20 ARTC Code of Practice for the Victorian Main Line Operations, Section 25 Issue of Train Authorities, and Train Authority form No. 2368.

Prior to the amendments being introduced, ARTC requires Rail Safety Workers, as described below, who operate or undertake work on the ARTC Victorian Network under the TA20 ARTC Code of Practice for the Victorian Main Line Operations to complete an e-Learning (online) briefing on the changes prior to their introduction.

Rail Safety Workers who are competent to perform the following rolls are required to complete the
e-Learning (online) briefing:
- Network Controllers
- Rail Traffic Crews (Drivers)
- ARTC - Track Vehicle Operator -Victoria (RIW role holders)- ARTC - Safeworking Level 1 -Victoria (RIW role holders).

The e-Learning (online) briefing 'VIC - TA20 RULE CHANGE BRIEFING 2023' is available from the 17th July 2023 via the ARTC Learning Management System (LMS) located at https://www.artc.com.au/work/contractors/inductions/.

Note: Affected Rail Safety Workers who do not complete the briefing by 14th October 2023 will not be permitted to operate or work on the ARTC Victorian Network.

Rail Safety Workers who hold ARTC RIW roles:-
The following Network based competency has been provided within RIW, for Rail Safety Workers who have undertaken the briefing:
- Rule Change.ARTC VIC - TA20 Briefing 2023.

Rail Safety Workers must have a copy of their e-learning certificate of completion uploaded into their RIW profile.

Note: Rail Safety Workers must provide a copy of the e-learning certificate of completion to their company administrator who can upload the certificate to RIW.
